Face masks hold a very special place in our skincare range, and they've earned it. Masks have the significant advantage of delivering immediate results. This is due to their formulation. Often, the active ingredients in face masks are more concentrated than in other skincare products, and they contain precisely coordinated complexes of active ingredients. This allows masks to work not only very quickly but also particularly intensively. Furthermore, masks are usually specialized for a specific effect. For example, they are designed to provide intense hydration, firm the skin, or remove excess oil. To achieve this, various ingredients with similar effects are often combined into an optimized complex. You should always choose your masks based on your skin type and condition. Our extra tip: Even though they're called face masks, that doesn't mean they can only be used on the face. Your neck, décolleté, and other areas of the body will also benefit from intensive care.

With all the positive effects on our skin, we shouldn't forget the impact a face mask can have on our mood. The psychological aspect of treating yourself is quite important. Especially in today's fast-paced world, it can be incredibly beneficial to consciously slow down, indulge in a face mask, and take some time for yourself (or "me time"). Ideally, you can combine this with other relaxing activities, such as watching an episode of your favorite show, reading a good book, or enjoying a relaxing bath.

BHA Mask

Skin type: Especially suitable for oily and combination skin

Skin condition: Helps with blackheads and other impurities

Main active ingredients: BHA (salicylic acid), kaolin, activated charcoal and Dead Sea salt

Color: Black

Our BHA mask is incredibly effective against blemishes commonly found on oily areas of the face. The namesake active ingredient, BHA, counteracts inflammatory processes in the skin and can thus reduce blemishes. It also has an exfoliating effect, removing both dead skin cells and sebum. Kaolin, also known as healing clay, binds sebum, exfoliates, and combats blemishes. Furthermore, it soothes the skin. Kaolin also clarifies pores and mattifies the complexion. The BHA mask's color comes from the activated charcoal it contains. This cleanses the facial skin, binds bacteria, and regulates sebum production. Dead Sea salt is antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, thus addressing the root causes of blackheads and other blemishes. The salt also cleanses and removes both deposits and dead cells from the skin's surface.

The BHA mask should be left on for 20-30 minutes after application and then rinsed off with lukewarm water. Due to the salicylic acid it contains, it is unfortunately not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Calming Mask

Skin type: Especially suitable for dry and normal skin

Skin condition: Sensitive, dehydrated, and irritated skin benefits most from the Calming Mask.

Main active ingredients: Colloidal oats, panthenol and vitamin E

Color: Pink

As the name suggests, our Calming Mask is particularly effective at soothing sensitive and irritated skin. One of its key ingredients is colloidal oat flour, a very fine powder. This active ingredient provides our skin with many essential nutrients. Oat flour has a calming effect on the skin and effectively relieves bothersome itching. It also reduces water loss from the skin, which is often associated with slightly dehydrated skin. The other two main active ingredients in the Calming Mask are also helpful in this regard. Both panthenol and vitamin E provide moisture and help retain it for longer. Vitamin E, in particular, has a strong occlusive effect. By reducing moisture loss, panthenol and vitamin E also improve elasticity. Both ingredients also have anti-inflammatory properties. Panthenol is also soothing and supports the skin's regeneration process.

The Calming Mask can be washed off after an application time of 15-20 minutes.

Retexturing Mask

Skin type: All

Skin condition: Helps with blemishes, dandruff and hyperpigmentation

Main active ingredients: Acid complex of alpha, beta and polyhydroxy acids

Color: Green

Our Retexturizing Mask focuses on evening out uneven skin tone and texture. Like the BHA Mask, it also contains salicylic acid. This helps reduce blemishes caused by sebum and dead skin cells, and prevents inflammation. It also contains the alpha hydroxy acids lactic acid, glycolic acid, and citric acid. These also combat blemishes and smooth the skin by exfoliating dead skin cells. AHAs can also even out an uneven complexion. The polyhydroxy acid gluconolactone, also included, further contributes to this. It has a firming effect and promotes blood circulation and skin regeneration.

The Retexturizing Mask has a very intensive effect due to its highly concentrated acid complex, so there are a few things to keep in mind when using it. Because it contains BHA, it is unfortunately not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women. We also do not recommend the mask for particularly sensitive or irritated skin, as this could lead to irritation. Caution is also advised when using it on textiles, as the mask can stain them.

The retexturizing mask takes effect after just five minutes. This application time should not be exceeded. A slight tingling sensation may occur on the skin during this time. This is normal and nothing to worry about. The mask should be followed by a moisturizer with hydrating ingredients.

 

Rich Hydration Mask

Skin type: Especially suitable for dry skin

Skin condition: Dehydrated skin especially benefits from the Rich Hydration Mask

Main active ingredients: Saccharide isomerate, glycerin and squalane

Color: White

The Rich Hydration Mask 's specialty is restoring moisture to dry and dehydrated skin. The ingredient Saccharide Isomerate is particularly effective in this regard. It provides a long-lasting moisturizing effect, even long after the mask has been removed. Furthermore, this active ingredient supports the skin's regeneration. Glycerin is one of the best-known moisturizers and is found in many skincare products. Glycerin is also a natural component of the skin. It can bind water and simultaneously reduce water loss, resulting in firmer and more elastic skin. Finally, the ingredient Squalane ensures that the moisturizing ingredients are effectively locked into the skin. Squalane is closely related to the skin's own substance, squalene. It has an occlusive effect and is absorbed particularly well into the skin.

The Rich Hydration Mask can be removed after a 15-20 minute application time. For a more intensive effect, you can also gently massage it in and leave it on overnight as a mask while you sleep.
